CHAIR’S STATEMENT: Chair's Statement on the publication of the Environmental Protection Agency's State of the Environment Report 2024

The Chair of the Climate Change Advisory Council welcomes the publication today (3rd October 2024) of the EPA’s State of the Environment Report 2024. This broad ranging report, the eighth of its kind, developed by the EPA, provides important analysis and insights on the current status of climate change and other environmental pressures. It also highlights the longer-term outlook of what is required to protect and manage the environment.

Marie Donnelly launches Climate Change Advisory Council's Annual Review 2023

Marie Donnelly, Chair of the Climate Change Advisory Council launched the Annual Review 2023 on the 25th July. In it's review, the Council said that 2023 is a critical year for the delivery of Ireland’s national climate action and that we must see emissions fall consistently if we are to meet our national and EU legal obligations in full and on time.
